Menzies Place, Melbourne Central

As part of ongoing refurbishment, Melbourne Central retail precinct in conjunction with Buckford Illumination Group have created a unique lighting feature in their Menzies Place space. Using an array of timber dowels to create a curved parabolic ceiling panel integrated with Digilin’s versatile Javelin 18 profile, the walkway is lit beautifully.

Javelin profile is a discreet, low profile extrusion offering a variety of mounting options and a huge range of optics, to tailor the light exactly as you want. Diffused or focused, from 120 to 15 degrees, lightsources range up to a massive 2400lm/m for white, to 900lm/m in an RGBW and also 1600lm/m in a tunable white. Team this with Digilin’s industry-leading control and dimming solutions to give maximum flexibility from a linear lightsource.

Also deployed on the project were the Digilin Icon downlights, installed into the flat sections between each vault for supplementary lighting to the space.
